Inspiration is a really fickle thing. You can go days without having any idea WHY you're even in this business of creating “art” and literally have no answer. It can be the most frustrating, depressing, enraging feeling you've ever had, and since that still leads to “nothing,” it's even worse.

Shooting In Low Light

What a Photographer Does

We start with planning a shoot, generally down to the smallest details. How the shoes will light, how to light the shoes without over-lighting the hair, does that backdrop change the color of the model's skin, will a gel fix that...? Even while we're shooting, we're still constantly adjusting, fine-tuning, trying to achieve perfection. It's an endless, and unreachable, goal.

You Gotta Have a First

The first blog post; dear god, what do you say? I guess, what I'm doing here and who I am. I'm a photographer who's been shooting for at least five years, about two years with a DSLR now. I started shooting nature because I was stuck in the middle of nowhere and there wasn't much for options. I still love doing that, but it's rare that I get to anymore. Less editing though.
